Simon Cowell’s ‘unrecognizable’ appearance leaves Royal Variety performance viewers in shock

Simon Cowell’s ‘unrecognizable’ appearance left fans in shock after he took to the stage at the Royal Variety Performance, which was filmed on December 2 and aired on ITV on Tuesday night.

The music mogul, 63, left TV viewers distracted by his incredibly smooth visage, which may be the result of cosmetic surgery, with one asking: ‘What’s he done to himself?’.

Simon was introducing BGT winner Axel Blake, however things didn’t go to plan when the X Factor judge accidentally broke the golden buzzer off its stand in an awkward blunder.

‘So please audition now for next year’s season and I look forward to meeting you.’

A source previously told MailOnline: ‘Simon said how he hasn’t worn trainers as much as this in 20 years. He feels fitter than ever before and is keeping to a normal routine rather than being on the phone into the early hours of the morning.’
