At Forrester, Finn tells Steffy it’s a lot to process knowing Sheila is alive but he’ll do what’s necessary to protect the people he loves. Hope comes in and asks if Steffy knows what happened with their parents. Steffy says no and guesses Hope hasn’t either. She hasn’t. Steffy’s dying to know what’s going on. Hope feels the same way.
At Brooke’s place, she and Taylor walk in carrying a cake box laughing over the look on Ridge’s face when they dropped their bombshell. Brooke asks if Taylor’s sorry. She says she is… that they didn’t do this thirty years ago. They both crack up. Brooke says there’s no better way to celebrate than with this cake. She muses that they kissed Ridge goodbye, “And that’s a kiss we can agree on.” They high-five and giggle.
At Bill’s place, Liam makes a puzzled face as his father “primps”. He asks, “Is that a diffuser?” Bill is certain this is the night he’ll convince Katie to come home.

In the design office, Carter asks Katie to have dinner with him, but she says Bill called and she agreed to see him.

At Bill’s, Liam is surprised Katie agreed to come over. Bill is taking it as a positive sign and declares that everything will be different for him and his ex after tonight.
In the design office, Carter tells Katie that Bill will only pressure her to take him back and asks, “Why put yourself through that again?” Katie says he doesn’t seem like himself and she’s worried about him.
In the main office, Charlie interrupts Hope, Steffy, and Finn’s conversation to assure them that Sheila will not be able to breach security. All Steffy and Hope want to know is whether Ridge left with Brooke or Taylor.
At Brooke’s place, she and Taylor go over how the waffling became a way of life. Brooke says, “You and I, we took our power back, and it feels incredible!” Brooke whips her hair around and then she and Taylor toast with water goblets. Taylor tells Brooke she never wanted to be her enemy.
At Forrester, Charlie’s forced to admit he didn’t see Ridge, Taylor, or Brooke leave the building. Hope and Steffy decide to text their mothers and are stunned to learn they’re both at Brooke’s house. They declare this can’t be good and decide to get over there right away.
In the design office, Katie tells Carter she’s never heard Bill sound so vulnerable.
At Bill’s place, he tells Liam that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to convince Katie to give him another chance.

At Brooke’s place, Taylor tells the blonde she’s a badass and is so creative. “The hottest chemist I have ever seen.” She goes on to say Brooke’s a good mom; she can see why Ridge was swept away. Brooke admires Taylor too, for helping people and being a healer, which is incredible. They marvel that they’ve never had a chance to be nice to each other and wonder how they let it go on for so long. Women should never bash each other, especially over a man, and should lift each other up. They vow never to fight over Ridge again. Taylor knows they both played a part but Ridge just ate up the attention. Brooke agrees; it was just wrong what he did. They go over what he did this time around and tell each other how sorry they are for what they had to go through. Taylor has only this to say, “Let’s eat cake!” They’re lifting up two huge pieces when Hope and Steffy come in and panic, believing another cake fight is about to begin. They’re flabbergasted when Brooke and Taylor giggle that they’re celebrating and explain that Ridge didn’t choose. “We did!” and stuff their faces with cake.
At Bill’s house, Liam muses that he misses the old Spencer family gatherings. Bill vows they’ll put them back on the calendar. Liam gently reminds his father that Katie has to want it too. He wishes Bill luck and worries about the sword necklace. Bill won’t need it once his Katie comes back to him.

In the design office, Carter tells Katie it’s not her job to monitor Bill’s well-being. She argues that everything he does affects Will. Carter says, “You’re right.” They agree to do dinner another time.
At Brooke’s place, she and Taylor explained to their daughters that they had to be ready — and strong enough. Steffy asks, “Strong enough for what?” The women say strong enough for reclaiming their lives, choosing themselves, and, Brooke adds, “Controlling our destiny.” Taylor cringes, “Oh, you said the ‘d’ word!” Steffy and Hope learn that the competition is over. They don’t need Ridge to be happy! As they continue to exclaim about finally figuring this out, Steffy and Hope exchange an incredulous glance.

At Bill’s place, he tells Katie she looks stunning. She points out he’s seen the dress a million times. Bill says it’s not about that, it’s about what’s in it. He thanks her for coming and she says she’s concerned about him. Bill will take what he can get. Katie says he doesn’t seem like himself. Bill declares he’s never himself when they’re apart. Katie bristles. He asks her not to do that. She reminds him they’ve been over this. Bill explains that he’s been learning something new every day about himself and his feelings for her. He regrets hurting her. Katie tears up. “She’s my sister, Bill.” Bill wishes he could take back saying Brooke is the love of his life. He loves Katie and Will more than words can express and misses the life they should be sharing. Katie says, “The life we would be sharing if you hadn’t thrown it away.” Bill gets emotional, cries and bangs his index fingers on his temples as he laments his poor decisions. He just needs to hear from her that there’s a chance for forgiveness. Bill cries, “I swear I will never let you down again. Just tell me that you will come back to me.” Katie, also crying, reels.
At Brooke’s place, she tells Hope and Steffy that she and Taylor finally realized that happiness comes from within. Steffy and Hope are proud of their mothers and hug them. Brooke sends the girls to the kitchen for forks and plates. Taylor and Brooke exclaim about how happy their daughters are and how good this feels. Brooke says, “I have you to thank for it, my friend. My friend, Taylor.” Taylor says, “My friend, Brooke.” They embrace cry and laugh.
